Description

The Stone Guardian is a hack and slash action RPG inspired by Dark Souls and Soulsborne.

The game follows a lone adventurer on his journey to cull ancient stone guardians that had awoken in a forest known as the Undying Woods.

As my first foray into Unreal Engine, I found things to be quite manageable due to prior experiences in game development.

Challenges revolved around camera movements and animation events, although they were eventually solved by researching further online.

  • Built a Soulsborne-inspired action RPG prototype in Unreal Engine.
  • Created the level and core gameplay using Blueprints and available asset ecosystems.
  • Solved key gameplay challenges around camera movement and animation events through iteration and research.
